We're getting close to being half way done selling the Qdoba fundraiser sheets! Thanks to Olivia Wito, AJ Behm, and Rene Markson for "hitting the pavement" Friday at lunch in the commons and selling a bunch to fellow students! They are planning on doing it again Monday, as they sold quite a few. Any swimmers and divers are welcome to join. Team members can get the sheets any time before/after school or at lunch or passing time in Coach Christenson's room (C-114).

SWIM/DIVE ALERT - FROM COACH CHRISTENSON
COACH SENDS:
Good news is we have sold 55 Qdoba sheets and have already paid for the cost of the sheets. Bad news is we have sold 55 Qdoba sheets and have 195 left! I'm trying to set up selling them at lunch, but with the seniors gone for the year we don't have a lot of kids going out to lunch anymore. If we can make a push for swimmers and divers to pick up a few before summer it would be great. Theoretically if every returning swimmer/diver took home 3 it would be more than enough to sell all of them out before summer. If you can get the word out that'd be great. Thanks! Troy

QDOBA FUNDRAISER COUPONS
Athletes:
Coach
Christenson reports that only 50 Qdoba coupons have been sold so far. The
booster club voted on and paid for 250 coupons to fundraise for this season’s
Kodiak trip, as well as bigger team purchases needed this year. Doing the
math, this means there are 200 more coupons to sell.
The
team must pay not only for the athletes to go to Kodiak this year, but also 1
coach, 1 school administrator, and 1 chaperone.
Coach
Christenson is available for athletes to stop by his room to pick up the
coupons anytime. They are $10 each and must be paid for when you pick up
the coupons. Coach also supports setting up a team table at South in the
common area to sell coupons during lunch.
Swim
and Dive Team Athletes, you are the best that South has to offer! This is
a leadership opportunity to step up and support the team. If you can man
a team table at lunch, please see Coach in his classroom. There are only
3 weeks of school left, so time is running short.

TEAM MEETING THIS WEEK AND FUNDRAISER
Athletes - Coach Christenson will have a team meeting in his classroom during lunch on Thursday, April 19 to discuss:
1. Team captains for the 2012 swim season
2. Team table at the Freshman Fair
3. Team trip to Kodiak
4. Fundraising
Please plan on attending.
Parents – The team is selling discount coupons for Q’Doba as a fundraiser for travel and other expenses. Tickets are $10 each and are good for “2 for 1” menu items. Athletes may pick up tickets from Coach C. on Tuesday, April 24 or Thursday, April 26 during lunch. There is no minimum number required, but the athletes must bring payment for tickets when they are picked up. Athletes can sell them at school at a team table during lunch, to teachers, neighbors, etc. The emphasis is on the athlete to be involved. Coach will go over details during the team meeting.

TEAM TRAVEL TO KODIAK PLANNING MEETING
Hello athletes!
Hope everyone is doing well in their classes and looking forward to summer.
Great news from Coach Christenson! The South team has been invited to Kodiak for a swim meet next fall. Team travel takes a lot of planning and space is limited, so we are having a brief parent meeting for coach to go over the details.
What: Swim/Dive Team Kodiak Trip Planning Meeting
When: Tuesday, April 10, 6:30pm to 7:30pm
Where: SAHS, Coach’s classroom (C-114)
We will also be electing some vacant positions for the booster club for the 2012 season.
It is short notice, but hope everyone can make it.

What: End-of-Season Banquet – Dessert Potluck
When: Thursday, Nov. 17, 6:45pm. Presentations start promptly at 7:00pm.
Where: Common Area at South High
LAST CHANCE WARM UP GEAR TURN IN!!
Warm up gear will be collected in the Common Area at South from 6:15pm – 6:45pm BEFORE the banquet. Any gear not turned in by 6:45pm will be delinquent and checks will be deposited into the team account. Warm up suits are the property of the Anchorage School District, and must be turned in at the end of the season.
